The 2013 Channel O Music Video Awards held on November 30, 2013 at Walter Sisulu Square, in Kliptown, Soweto. Three prominent nominees were however missing from the awards show.
Nigerian A-list acts D’banj, Banky W and Davido stayed
back in Nigeria to perform at the Johnnie Walker event which went down
on the same night at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
D’banj and Davido lost out at the awards. Banky W however clinched the ‘Most Gifted RnB Video‘ category. His award was picked up by Wizkid.
Banky and D’banj travelled out of the
country a day after the show; The EME boss is currently in Johannesburg
while D’banj is in London.
