Warri Wolves & Rangers ironed out their contentious on Mba

Warri Wolves and Rangers International of Enugu have ironed out the contentious transfer of Super Eagles striker, Sunday Mba. Mba will remain a player of the Delta State pampered Warri Wolves, but he will play for Rangers until the end of the season in September, when he will likely move to Europe.

“We’ve taken this important step to enable Mba continue with his young career and not to hinder his progress.

“Warri Wolves own the player and full transfer rights, the club decided to let him stay with Rangers on loan and return to Warri at the end of the season.

Eagle Schnapps sponsors tennis tournament in honor of Olu of Warri

Eagle Aromatic Schnapps, a brand from the stable of the Intercontinental Distillers Limited (makers of Chelsea Dry Gin, Squadron Dark Rum, Veleta Fruit Drink, etc ) recently partnered with the Warri Tennis Club to host the 2nd Grand Patron Lawn Tennis Tournament in honour of the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse.

The event, which was held to celebrate the Olu of Warri’s 26th Coronation Anniversary, hosted various clubs within Delta State & its environs including Ughelli Club, Shell Club, NNPC Club, and Asaba Club, all participating in the American Tennis Tournament Format.
 
The highlight of the day was the exhibition match between the Governor’s Team represented by Hon Amaju Pinnick (Sports Commissioner) and Hon Patrick Ferife (Commissioner for Land Planning) and Team Warri Club.

Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers In Serious Battle over the ownership of Sunday Mba.

Following his impressive display at the recently concluded 2013 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, two Nigerian clubs Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers are in battle over the ownership of Sunday Mba.
While Mba played for the Super Eagles at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa, the midfielder was referred to as a Warri Wolves player by the commentators and other media personalities profiling the player. But after the AFCON victory and a performance that could earn him a club abroad, Rangers have declared that Sunday Mba is their bonafide player contrary to the claims by Warri Wolves, where he last played.
