Liverpool manager’s son faces retrial

A jury was sworn in Tuesday in the retrial of four footballers, including the son of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel.

The case against Anton Rodgers, 20, who plays for Championship side Brighton, two of his teammates and a Bournemouth player will open on Wednesday at the Old Bailey in London, England’s central criminal court.
A previous jury was discharged in February after failing to reach verdicts on all but one count where they cleared Lewis Dunk of voyeurism.
