West Brom coach, Steve Clarke stated that his star striker, Peter Osaze Odemwingie will certainly make the Nigerian team to the 2013 Nations Cup, following his excellent form. He added that he was already preparing room for Osaze’s imminent absence during the month long tournament. Clarke said that he has no doubt that Osaze’s current fine form will be too much for Eagles coach Stephen Keshi to resist when making his final list of players for the Nations Cup.
“If Nigeria want to go with their best players, I’m sure Peter would be in that squad for the African Nations Cup. “If Peter continues in the current form he’s in, I’d think Nigeria would select him.
“He has been playing really well for us, he has been fantastic.
Osaze has produced a string of fine performances to help the Baggies into third spot in the Barclays Premier League ahead of this evening’s clash at Swansea.
Keshi and the player had a communication break down, which made the Eagles coach to declare that Osaze was not ready to play for Nigeria again.
However, Osaze’s goals saved West Brom from the drop last season rejected the claim, stating that he would make himself available, if selected.
