Fairy Tale: Two Traveling Angels

Two traveling
angels stopped to spend
the night in the home of a
wealthy family. The family
was rude and refused to let
the angels stay in
the mansion's guest
room.Instead the angels
were given a small space in
thecold basement. As

they made their bed on the
hardfloor, the older angel
saw a hole in the wall
and repaired it. When
the younger angel asked
why,the older angel
replied,"Things
aren'talways what they
seem."The next night the
paircame to rest at the
house of a very poor, but
very hospitable farmer and
his wife. After sharing
what little food they had
the couple let the angels
sleep in their bed where
theycould have a good
night'srest. When the sun
cameup the next morning
theangels found the
farmerand his wife in tears.
Theironly cow, whose milk
hadbeen their sole income,
laydead in the field.The
younger angel
wasinfuriated and asked
theolder angel, "How
couldyou have let this
happen?The first man
hadeverything, yet you
helpedhim," he accused.
"Thesecond family had
little butwas willing to
shareeverything, and you
let thecow die." "Things
aren'talways what they
seem,"the older angel
replied."When we stayed in
thebasement of the
mansion, Inoticed there
was goldstored in that hole
in thewall. Since the owner
wasso obsessed with
greedand unwilling to
share hisgood fortune, I
sealed thewall so he
wouldn't find it.Then last
night as we sleptin the
farmers bed, theangel of
death came for hiswife. I
gave him the cowinstead.
Things aren'talways what
they seem."Sometimes that
is exactlywhat happens
when thingsdon't turn out
the waythey should. If you
havefaith, you just need
totrustthat every out come
isalways to your
advantage.You just might
not know ituntil some time
later...If all things fail just
knowthat:"Sorrow looks
back,Worry looks around,
Faith looks up"
