Germany has won this year's world cup by beating Argentina 1-0. Mario Gotze scored the only and winning goal of the match at the 113th minute to give Germany its fourth World Cup title. Argentine captain Lionel Messi won the FIFA 2014 World Cup Golden Ball Award, that is the award giving to the best individual player, while German goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer won the Golden Gloves that is the award fond of the best goal keeper of the tournament and Colombia's James Rodriguez was named the tournament's top scorer with six goals.
