"Hank Deserves a Second Chance" - A Teary-Eyed Kendra Wilkinson Opens Up

A teary eyed Kendra Wilkinson has opened up about what is going on in her marriage to former NFL player Hank Baskett, who allegedly cheated on her with a transsexual model while she was eight months pregnant with their second child.

With so many conflicting reports - either that she's kicked her husband to the curb and will file divorce papers any day or has let him back into their marital home and bed - the 29-year-old set the record straight in an interview with Access Hollywood as she admitted things aren't clear-cut and she's still navigating the rocky terrain.

'If I told you right now that I'm going to stay with Hank and then tomorrow I divorce him that would be so awkward and weird. I'm really taking my time to figure everything out... I honestly don't have a decision right now on what I'm going to do. Honestly, I don't know. I'm still trying to figure it out... This has been a lot to handle and a lot for me to think about - especially right now after giving birth to a baby.
At the end of the day, he comes from an amazing place and amazing background. He's a perfect guy and he's never done me wrong. He's not like some douchebag. He's not a douchebag. He's never treated me wrong, so if he was, I wouldn't be with him right now,' she came to Hank's defence, adding: 'He is an amazing father.'

In the hot seat: The 29-year-old got candid with co-hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover
Asked what exactly the 32-year-old has told his wife about his alleged dalliance with transsexual model Ava London, Kendra said her husband is insisting the rumours are false.
'He's saying, "Don't believe it, I'm going to clear my name."
Of course, what everyone is wondering is just why the couple haven't sued if they are so adamant that Hank is innocent. From a male perspective, Access Hollywood host Billy told his Kendra:
'If that's me, if someone's accusing me of something like that and I didn't do it, I'm suing everybody in my path. I'm gonna fight like an animal.'
'How long does it take to sue someone though?' Kendra responded. 'I mean, come on. We have a family here. We have a lot to work on here. I mean, going to court and doing stuff like that. Do we want to? Absolutely.' There's a lot to work out. I know that some of the story is true.'
So just which part is true exactly, Billy and Kit were quick to ask.
'Well, I know that this person passed a lie detector test and has pictures and stuff, so that stuff I have to take in and try to figure out. But she is claiming that he YouTubed her and messaged her. I don't believe that. That's such a lie. There are so many holes in the story. Who took this polygraph test? I heard the person isn't even registered.'
With two children to consider - four-and-a-half-year-old son Hank IV and four-month-old daughter Alijah - Kendra went on to explain that she is holding out hope that her husband simply made a 'mistake' and that they can move on from this setback.
'In my eyes, life is too short and this man who I loved for six years... I believe deserves... a second chance, IF he did make a mistake. And right now I'm working that out. I'm working on what happened and if this was a mistake, which I believe, I'm starting to believe it was. If I believe that Hank had an affair on me, the divorce would have gone through already. I'm holding on to any hope I have. Why would I not give my husband of six years the benefit of the doubt? Four months later, a lot has happened. We're in a different place now.'
While they're taking baby steps trying to regain the trust and rebuild their relationship, the usually bubbly blonde - who sounded and looked on the verge of tears during the duration of the interview - admitted that she's not yet let her husband back into her bed.
'He has an apartment that is close by. I mean, he does stay at the house. He stays the night, but not in my bed,' she confirmed.

'Is this a separation?' Billy inquired.

'I wouldn't call it that; we're taking time. I can't tell you right now if I'm going to divorce him or stay with him because I don't know right now.'
Along with her recent admission that Hank is in therapy as he deals with the fallout from this situation, Kendra also revealed that her husband was dealing with other personal issues at the time of his alleged affair.
'He was going through a lot of stuff that nobody knows about and he was trying to talk to me about it and I would not deal with it,' she said of the situation not captured by the cameras for their show.
'Sexuality issues?' Billy dug deeper.
'No, no, no,' Kendra insisted. 'He was very lost. Very, very lost and I wish I would have had it in my heart to slow down a little bit and listen... Right now, he's in a lot of therapy... and figuring out a way to explain everything. I don't get it.'
It was a similar story she told as she sat down with Giuliana Rancic for E! special Beyond Candid With Giuliana.
'We cannot sleep in the same bed right now. It's just not possible. We have to spend a lot of time figuring things out before he sleeps by me again,' Kendra spoke honestly of the situation.
'Overall, he was denying the whole thing,' she explained of Hank's response to the affair reports. 'I don't know what to believe. Yes, I'm seriously mad at Hank because I know something happened. I've come very close to divorcing him already.'
The former Playboy Playmate added:
'Hank isn't gay and I don't believe he has a transsexual fetish... It's the outside world that's saying don't stay with him. My inside world - my closest friends, my neighbors who truly know us - were the ones saying, "Don't make any rash decisions."'
