Barcelona denies Messi's guilt

Barcelona threw their support behind Lionel Messi on Thursday, insisting they had no doubt that the superstar was innocent of tax avoidance. "We are all calm," said Barcelona president Sandro Rosell. I Cannot Play With Any Team Other Than Barcelona – Messi


Argentine football star, Lionel Messi said Monday he could not play for any team other than Barcelona, where he has been since the age of 13. He told reporters this in Qatar, where he took part in a charity event.

But he added in answering a question about a possible transfer that he “did not know what the future hides.”
Messi joined Barcelona at the age of 13 and climbed through the Catalans’ ranks, making his first team debut at just 17.

Barcelona can Do without Messi – Alves ( What Do You Think?)

Lionel Messi’s Barcelona teammates will take on the rare challenge of coping without their talismanic World Player of the Year when the La Liga leaders host relegation-threatened Real Mallorca on Saturday.
Fullback Daniel Alves, who provided the exquisite pass that sent Messi clear to score on Tuesday, said the Argentine’s absence was a chance for other players in the squad to step up.
“The fact that we don’t have him is an incentive to prove to everyone that we have enough quality to compete without him and show that we can do it just as well as when he’s here,” Alves told a news conference on Wednesday.

Barcelona Blames Loss To AC Milan On San Siro Pitch

Barcelona assistant coach Jordi Roura hit out at the state of the pitch at the San Siro after his side were left staring at an early Champions League exit following a shock 2-0 loss to AC Milan on Wednesday.
It was an African show as Ghanaians Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari who were not part of their nation’s team at the recently concluded African Cup of Nations, AFCON, scored one apiece in a lively second half as the hosts’ impressive defence throughout the match stunned the Catalans.
Roura, standing in for Tito Vilanova while the coach undergoes cancer treatment in New York, admitted the Blaugrana had simply not done enough.

Messi Scores His 300th Barcelona Goal

Lionel Messi scored his 300th Barcelona goal during his side’s clash with Granada on Saturday, his 365th appearance for the Blaugrana.
The Argentine forward reached the milestone with a tap-in after Cesc Fabregas’ 50th-minute shot had been parried into his path, and it also meant that he had scored in 14 successive Liga matches.
Messi made his debut for Barca in 2004-05, and grabbed his first goal for the Catalans’ first team against Albacete in May 2005.
