Kenya 0 - 1 Nigeria

Today, Nigerians rejoiced as the Super Eagles secured a 1-nil victory against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
The Super Eagles were in full control of the game during the first half, although their attempts were rewarded with missed opportunities as the Kenyan defense held firm. Brown Ideye had the best chance of the first half, but failed to score, even as possession evened out.
In the second half of the game, Ahmed Musa burst through, held off a Kenyan defender and lobbed the keeper brilliantly, to give Nigeria all three points, in their crucial World Cup qualifying game against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.
More details soon.

Enyeama leads 15 overseas-based pros for Kenya

Israel-based goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama tops a list of 15 overseas-based professionals that Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, has invited for this month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the Harambee Stars of Kenya.  Eleven of those called were in the squad that lifted the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa last month, while rapid-raider Obafemi Martins makes a return, and there is a surprise call for Ukraine-based Babatunde Michael, who played for the Dream Team at the inaugural CAF U-23 Championship in Morocco 15 months ago.
Midfielder Nnamdi Oduamadi, who also shone brightly for the last U-23 squad in their qualifying games, is called. But the biggest dark horse, so to say, is Portugal-based midfielder John Ogu.  African champions Nigeria take on Kenya’s Harambee Stars in one of the Day 3 matches of Group F of the 2014 FIFA World Cup race. Nigeria lead the group on four points while Kenya bring up the rear with only one.
They clash at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar on Saturday, 23rd March.
