Mikel Obi set to leave Chelsea for Galatasaray

Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi is placed to proceed to Galatasaray from Chelsea. Mikel told Sabah, a daily Turkish newspaper that the Turkey football club made a present that he's extremely pleased with and is looking towards life in Istanbul.
'I asked Drogba for advice and he explained that Istanbul is just a fantastic city, that Galatasaray is just a huge club and that I have to make the move. I have played at Chelsea for quite a while and it's now time for me to leave.
'I'm still only 26 and it's great to get a present from a team (Galatasaray) playing Champions League football and successful in the competition.'
Talks reach an enhanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won't make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won't be described as a problem. All that's left is for the clubs to reach an agreement.'
Mikel leaving Chelsea for Galatasaray is not a good idea, can it be?

Player transfer: Nani and Wayne Rooney to leave Man U for PSG

The Mill has changed, man. It was not all that long ago that a trawl through the day’s tabloid tittle-tattle might bring news of a new transfer target for Burton Albion or who Gillingham could be looking at bringing in. Wondering about Morecambe’s summer spending plans? This was the place to be. Well, sometimes. OK, once. But not now. These days it’s all about the big boys. Indeed it’s all about the biggest boys.

And today’s red-top rumours are a case in point. If you’re not at the top of the football food-chain then you’re not getting a look in. PSG, for example are confident of sealing a £25m move for Wayne Rooney in the summer. And they also want Nani to take their Old Trafford spending up to £40m. Former PSG director Michel Moulin said: “I announce to you from trusted sources: Rooney to PSG is done. He will be there next season.”

Tevez, Nasri may leave as Man City plan clear-out

Manchester City will embark on a clear-out of players at the end of the season. Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry, Edin Dzeko and Samir Nasri head a group of 11 whose futures are in doubt, with Roberto Mancini determined not to repeat last summer’s mistakes in the transfer market.
The manager believes that the club’s inability to recruit the players he identified towards the end of last season proved a major factor in the dismal Champions League campaign, which ended with City bottom of their qualifying group, and for a faltering title defence that has them trailing Manchester United by 12 points.
Along with Mancini, Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, the new chief executive and director of football, will decide who will leave. At the weekend Barry admitted the squad are aware that Soriano and Begiristain were going to scrutinise “the players they want to go with” in the future.
