Ivory Coast beat Japan at FIFA World Cup

Team Cote d'Ivoire has defeated Team Japan at the stadium in Recife in the first round match of the group stage of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The match ended with the score 2:1 (0:1). After the goal by Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda on the 16th minute, the Ivorian replied with well-placed shots by Wilfried Bony (64th minute) and Gervinho (66th minute).

FIFA World Cup 2014: Spain vs Netherlands [13/06/2014] 1-1 (HT)

Defending champions Spain kick off their defence of the World Cup against the Netherlands at the Arena Fonte Nova in a repeat of the 2010 final.

Four years ago, Andres Iniesta’s goal in the 116 th minute catapulted Spain to its first World Cup title over Netherlands in a 1-0 victory in South Africa. On Friday, the former finalists meet in the opening Group B match at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, Brazil.

 This pig ain't willing to die or being abducted. A motorist behind a delivery truck transporting pigs to a slaughterhouse in South America filmed one pig leaping from the truck to save  itself. First its head appears, then it manages to prize its body to the top, leaps overboard at high-speed, rolls to the floor, picks itself up and walks to the bushes to freedom. 

The video of the incident was launched on June 11th and moved viral. One viewer wrote "I enjoy pork, but he obviously deserves amnesty for his bravery ".I agree.

This reminds me of the Chibok Girls. How some of them managed to escape Boko Haram. If only we could see real live photos of their escape. Chai.. In America, we could see Pig live and direct but not human being in Naija.

Brazil defeats Croatia in 2014 FIFA World Cup opener - Highlights

As ITAR-TASS reports, Brazil’s national soccer team has defeated Croatia 3-1 in the opening match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup at the Arena Corinthians stadium in the city of Sao Paulo.

Croatia saw an unlikely lead when the hosts’ defender Marcelo scored an own goal in the 11th minute. But the situation improved for Brazil soon with Neymar firing home two goals: one in the 29th minute and a penalty kick in the 71st minute. Oscar scored a third one for Brazil in the 90th minute.

Brazil will play Mexico on June 17 and Croatia will play Cameroon on June 18 in Group A.
