Perhaps after Olu Maintain’s ‘Yahoozee’, 9ice’s ‘Gongo Aso’ and Dbanj’s ‘Oliver Twist’, the other song in recent times that has taken the Nigerian music industry by strom is Iyanya‘s ‘Kukere’. Ever since its release in 2012, the song has gone on to become a mosnter hit and a favourite in almost everyone’s playlist including top government functionaries.
The pop singer only last week, among other songs from his repertoire, performed ‘Kukere’ in Asaba where Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan and Senator Chris Ngige challenged his dance (Etighi) moves on stage.Information Nigeria recalls that Iyanya’s highly anticipated 19 tracker album launch titled ‘Iyanya Desire’, will take place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, by 6pm on Sunday, 24th Feb.
