Michael Essien Drags C-Ronaldo, Lampard, Cech Other Football Stars To Ghana For Charity Match

Ghanaian international, Michael Essien has concluded plans to put together another star-studded match to raise funds for 5 charity organizations in Ghana.
Speaking on the forthcoming event tagged “Essien Game of Hope” scheduled for Accra Sports Stadium on 8 June 2013 between Africa 11 and World 11, Essien revealed that “I am excited about the latest chapter in the work of the Michael Essien Foundation.

“I have always aimed to provide hope and inspiration to ordinary people so they can make the most of their lives. Our aim is to bring world stars (past and present) to Accra just as we did in 2011 and to hopefully use the game to raise enough funds for those in need.
He continued, “The Peace game was mainly to spread the peace message but the Game of Hope will be used to raise funds for the needy in our society.”
A galaxy of football stars expected to be on parade at the 3-day event are C-Ronaldo, Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba, Solomon Kalou, Emmanuel Adebayor, Asamoah Gyan, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor.
Others are Emmanuel Eboue, Kanu Nwankwo, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Alex Song, John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Yaya and Kolo Toure, Casillas, Ricardo Carvalho, Sergio Ramos, Luca Modric, Xabi Alonso, Kaka, Peter Cech, Emmanuel Frimpong and many more.
