Wenger Set To Bid £8m For The ‘New Nasri’ After Confirming Interest In The Lyon Midfielder.

22- year- old Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier is one player whose progress has pleased Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Grenier was on target on Sunday night against Rennes in front of Arsenal scouts. He has been likened to Samir Nasir in his style, and is rated at around £8 million by his club.
The France U-21 player wanted to quit the Stade Gerland last summer but had a rethink, after injuries to key men- including Yoann Gourcuff, a former Gunners target- to make 27 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
Grenier, now could be on his way to the English Premier League, after Wenger told French programme Telefoot: “We are following him. His intelligence of play pleases me. He has interesting qualities. He reminds me of Nasri.”

Tevez, Nasri may leave as Man City plan clear-out

Manchester City will embark on a clear-out of players at the end of the season. Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry, Edin Dzeko and Samir Nasri head a group of 11 whose futures are in doubt, with Roberto Mancini determined not to repeat last summer’s mistakes in the transfer market.
The manager believes that the club’s inability to recruit the players he identified towards the end of last season proved a major factor in the dismal Champions League campaign, which ended with City bottom of their qualifying group, and for a faltering title defence that has them trailing Manchester United by 12 points.
Along with Mancini, Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, the new chief executive and director of football, will decide who will leave. At the weekend Barry admitted the squad are aware that Soriano and Begiristain were going to scrutinise “the players they want to go with” in the future.
