Video: Hooligan Referee Beats Two Players, Red Cards Sheikh In Kuwait.

A referee in Kuwait refused to be bullied by players after awarding a penalty, and had to physically defend himself from them. Arbitrating the game between Alnaser and Alarabi, the ref felt the wrath of the Alnaser players after awarding a penalty against them, while they surrounded him like hounds, manhandling and intimidating him. Cornered and feeling threatened, the state lashed out and smashed an Alnaser player, knocking him to the ground. The mob then eased off, and whilst the ref re-established order, he sent off a trolling sheikh.

Fuse ODG Bags MOBO Best African Act Prize, Beats Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Mafikizolo, Ice Prince.

AZonto crooner, Fuse ODG has been announced because the winner of the year's MOBO Best African Act Awards, which took place yesterday evening, October 19th 2013.Fuse won the awards against African music power house including Atumpan, Ice Prince, Wizkid, Liquideep, Mafikizolo, Tiwa Savage, Spoek Mathambo. Congratulations to Fuse ODG. Nigerian superstar, D'Banj walked house with the award last year.

Nigeria beats Burkina Faso 4-1

The Super Eagles recorded a resounding 4-1 victory over the Stallions  of Burkina Faso in a friendly match  at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Tuesday.
Brown Ideye got Nigeria on their way to the win in the 17th minute after  Obinna Nsofor’s  through ball  caused panic in the visitors defence.

The Eagles continued to pile pressure on the visitors as John Ogu tested the Stallions goalkeeper in the 13th minute. Shola Ameobi, though playing as the lone man upfront, did  well holding the ball up to bring Nsofor and Ideye into the game.

Brazil beats world champion Spain 3-0 to win Confederations Cup

Fred scored two goals and Neymar added another as host Brazil convincingly defeated world champion Spain 3-0 to win the Confederations Cup on Sunday as protesters clashed with riot police outside the Maracana Stadium.

Fred put Brazil on the board less than two minutes into the match, Neymar added to the lead just before half-time and Fred netted his fifth goal in five matches early in the second half to give Brazil victory. The win for the host nation was surprisingly easy against the current world champion.

Sergio Ramos missed a penalty kick for Spain in the 55th, sending his low shot wide.

Stephens Beats Injury-Hit Serena


Title favourite Serena Williams made a shock exit at the Australian Open as injury derailed her hopes against Sloane Stephens in the quarter-finals.
The 15-time Grand Slam champion led her fellow American by a set and a break, but after being treated for a back spasm in the second set went down 3-6 7-5 6-4.
Williams was heard on court to say it had been the "worst two weeks" as she has struggled with ankle and back issues, and afterwards she stuck by that assessment.
"For a Grand Slam, absolutely. Absolutely," she said.
