Cinema Release of Half of a Yellow Sun Postponed

The highly anticipated movie, Half of a Yellow Sun (HOAYS) will no longer be showing today in the cinema as earlier announced. This is due to delay in obtaining public viewing certification from Censor’s Board. A new cinema date will be announced as soon as regulatory issues are sorted out.  We appreciate everybody that has shown any form of concern to what has been tagged the biggest movie from Africa, we assure you that the movie will worth the wait.

The $10million movie has made history as the first African movie to get international release dates in countries like the UK, US, Australia, Portugal, Middle East and New Zealand. It is also the first Nigerian movie to be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada. It is already showing in UK.

Shantel Jackson & Nelly reply Floyd Mayweather

 Recently boxing champion Floyd Mayweather lambast  his ex fiancéelizabeth Shantel Garcia for posting images of herself and Nelly on her instagram site, by revealing exceptional and humiliating information on Shantel, saying the reason why they separated was because she aborted their babies. Nigerian Actor Gets 'Main Role' In Star Wars VII Movie

A British-Nigerian actor who recently starred as “Ugwu” in the movie, Half of a Yellow Sun has been announced as part of the cast of the new Star Wars movie and is thought to have beaten off competition from the likes of Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons and Downton Abbey’s Ed Speleers.. He’ll be the first black lead in the series, if you don’t count James Earl Jones who voiced Darth Vader.

Kim K & Kanye W 's Vogue cover sells 500,000 copies, beating both Beyonce & Michelle Obama

 Bow down to the power couple! They predicted it and it's happened. Kim and Kanye's controversial Vogue cover just beat out the sales record for both Beyonce and Firsl Lady Michelle Obama's covers, Toofab reports. The power couple officially have thee most in-demand cover in the mag's history.

Their cover has sold over 500,000 copies and with subscriptions, expected to offer over 1.2million copies. Beyonce's 2013 Vogue cover sold significantly more than 350,000 copies while  First Lady Michelle Obama's cover sold nearly 300,000. 

Report claims Vogue had to restock many shelves after it sold-out, something that almost never happens.

On The Run: Jay Z & Beyonce announce joint summer tour -

Jay Z and Beyonce are planning the joint summer tour to end all tours. The power couple announced today that the 16 date tour will kick off June 25 in Miami and will end August 5th in San Francisco. According to the announcement, pre-sale tickets will be made available for Beyonce fan club members and Chase credit card holders on 4/29/14 at Ticketmaster.  $1 from each ticket sold and a portion of the proceeds from the Chase VIP Ticket Package will be donated to the Shawn Carter Foundation. Tickets for the general public will go on sale May 2 on LiveNation.

Fenerbahce bags Turkish title

Fenerbahce won the Turkish league title with three games to spare on Sunday after a 0-0 draw at home to Caykur Rizespor, in front of a crowd made up exclusively of women and children.

The Istanbul giants have 68 points and cannot be caught by nearest challengers, and bitter rivals, Galatasaray, who won 1-0 at Elazigspor but trail by 12 points.

No adult males were allowed to attend the match after a one-game ban was handed down by the Turkish Football Federation earlier this month.
Nevertheless, thousands of Fenerbahce fans took to the streets in the club’s home district of Kadikoy, on Istanbul’s Asian side, to celebrate.

Yes oh.. Yes! magazine replies Harrysong, says he did say his parents are siblings

Yes! Magazine quoted singer Harrysong as saying his parents are siblings in an interview with them a while back. Harrysong released a statement some days ago denying he ever made the comment. The magazine editors have now released their own statement insisting that he did say it.

Our attention has been drawn to a very disparaging comment from Harrysong, an up and coming artiste over an interview we conducted with him at Kcee's Omole Phase 2, Ikeja, Lagos home. 

As a responsible medium, Yes International! had wanted to ignore him and his deliberate act of mischief. But on a second thought, we decided otherwise, because in our considered opinion, it will be suicidal to disregard the young man's insinuations and cheap blackmail. However, we are also not unaware of Harrysong's ignorance and this again is a restraining factor on our side. Continue..
