2014 Channel O Africa Music Video Awards Nominees Revealed

Channel O just announced the nominees for the 2014 Channel O Africa Music Video Awards and Davido leads with five nominations including; Most Gifted Male Video, Most Gifted Afro Pop Video, Most Gifted West Video and Most Gifted Video of the Year, all for Aye and Most Gifted Dance Video for Skelewu. 2face, Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, Kcee, P-Square, Orezi, Jesse Jagz, Flavour, Patoranking, Iyanya, Niyola, Burna Boy, Phyno and Dr Sid were all nominated.

Kendrick Lamar accused of brutally beating a woman and leaving her bloody in Vegas room

A former female security guard who worked at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas released a movie recently claiming that rapper Kendrick Lamar was investigated for allegedly brutally beating a lady and leaving her blood in an area in the hotel. The guard claimed the battered woman called them for help and once they surely got to the area, found her in an awful state. However the guard never said she saw Kendrick lay hands on the woman. This happened in May. See what she said below.

"On Memorial Day Weekend . . . so I get dispatched up to one of the rooms to help some girl get down to the casino. She ends up being all bloody and things, so I had to call my supervisor, then I had to call my other supervisor, then I had to call my boss. And I was like, “We have a situation,” because half of her face was like blown out."

Pics: Indian girl Marries local Dog in Bizarre Wedding Ceremony

An 18-year-old Indian girl has married a stray dog as part of a tribal ritual designed to ward off an evil spell.

DailyMail reports that Mangli Munda, from a remote village in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand, wed the canine in a lavish ceremony. The wedding was hastily organised by village elders after a local guru led Mangli's parents to believe that the teenager possessed ill-luck and that marrying a man would bring destruction to the family and her community.

The baffled dog, Sheru, a stray found by the girl's father, was brought to the wedding in a chauffeur  driven car and welcomed by revellers.

The actress – who recently revealed her heartache at spending years trying to conceive – said there was a ‘vanity’ in wanting to continue the family bloodline. Miss Peake had explored ‘every avenue’ – including IVF – before finally accepting defeat. She also suffered the agony of two miscarriages.

Joan Rivers Is Out of Intensive Care - Melissa Rivers

Joan Rivers' daughter, Melissa Rivers, continues to provide updates about her mother's condition. And in her latest statement, released Wednesday, Sept. 3, she says the 81-year-old comedienne has been transferred to a private room at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable," the statement reads. "Thank you for your continued support."  

Melissa has been offering near-daily bulletins since the Fashion Police host was first hospitalized on Thursday, Aug. 28, when complications arose during an outpatient procedure on her vocal cords. After being admitted to Mount Sinai that morning, Rivers was placed in a medically induced coma. Doctors began bringing the star out of the coma on Sunday, Aug. 31, but as of Tuesday, Sept. 2, she was still on life support.
