Fifa Ranking: Super Eagles Of Nigeria Drop To 5th position in Africa


The Super Eagles maintained their place as the 35th best national team in the World, according to the latest Fifa ranking released in Zurich yesterday. The Eagles also perched on the 5th position in Africa. Ivory Coast is still Africa’s number one national side, a position the Elephants have held for nearly two years now. However, the Ivorians lost 5 points this time to finish at 18 on the overall rating.

Ghana is Africa’s second on the ranking and 24 in the lot while Mali, Algeria and Nigeria follow  as third, fourth and fifth African teams on the ranking.

Spain, Germany, Colombia and Argentina conserved their positions from the previous ranking without losing or gaining any point.
