At the just concluded African music awards, AFRIMMA, it was a night of celebration of African music as well as African icons who have played a prominent role in the emancipation of African music. Apart from the regular categories of awards, 3 other individuals were honored by AFRIMMA for their service to African music at Eisemann Center, Dallas, Texas.

2face Shoots Movie 'Make a Move' With Majid Michel '

Nigerian singer 2face will be featuring in a new movie ”Make a Move’. The movie also has Ghanaian actor Majid Michel. Nigerianfilms.com reports that Music star, 2Face Idibia will feature in another Nigerian movie alongside fellow singer, Omawumi Megbele.

The ‘African Queen’ crooner will be in a new dance movie titled ‘Make a Move’, which also stars Ivie Okujaiye, Majid Michel and Bervely Naya.

 Nigerian music heavy-weight, 2face Idibia is expected to set the Agege Township Stadium alight this Sunday, September 22^nd, 2013, for the Closing Ceremony of the Airtel Rising Stars Africa Championship.

Also the youngest Nigerian non-inheritor millionaire and winner of the inaugural edition of the Nigeria’s Got Talent (NGT) Television show, Amarachi Uyanne, and the first runner up of the NGT competition, violinist, Godwin Strings are slated to perform at this event.

Students of University of Port-Harcourt have commended Amstel Malta, the leading premium low sugar malt drink in the country, for providing the platform that has succeeded in bringing the best out of them. The two Nigerian music stars were nominated alongside R2bees from Ghana, Radio and Weasel from Uganda, Donald from South Africa, and Toya Delazy from South Africa. The award will hold 30th June. MTV Africa in association with KwaZulu-Natal Province will host the final MTV Africa All Stars concert at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, People’s Park in Durban, South Africa on 18th May 2013 and will have some of the biggest names in the local and international music scene headlined by Rap icon, Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg.
