Rita Dominic’s New Movie ‘The Meeting’ breaks record.

 Nearly two weeks after  it was released on DVD, the multiple awards winning romantic comedy, The Meeting, produced by Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo has recorded a big break in the market.  The movie which was released on January 1, 2014, reportedly has sold over 50,000 copies within two weeks of its release. Making the actress’ company, The Audrey Silva  order for fresh copies.

 Remarking on the choice of the two star actresses, Chioma said, “Rita Dominic is a consummate actress and indeed an African screen Icon, having won several awards and nominations throughout her career, most recently she became Africa’s Best Actress by winning The 2012 Africa Movies Academy Award (AMAA) for her role in the Kenyan film Shattered.

Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw & Funke Akindele O in Tinapa for short film

A-list actresses Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw and Funke Akindele have been in Tinapa, Cross Rivers state for the past two weeks. The actresses have been posting photos of their time there on their respective Instagram pages but have never said what they are actually doing there.   I got the exclusive scoop for you...:-). The four actresses are in Tinapa for a  project which is a part reality show and part movie that EbonyLife TV, owned by TV host Mo Abudu, is putting together. The reality show/movie is being shot at Tinapa resort.  EbonyLife TV will debut on DSTV any moment from now and Nollywood is one of the few channels the CEO, Mo Abudu, wants to use to drive the channel and close sources have said her choice of Nollywood will be ‘new Nollywood’   The show sees the actresses collaborate in the production of a brilliant and pulsating short film that spotlights the plight of women across Africa who have to bear the pains of domestic abuse.
