D’banj, Banky W, Davido Ignore Channel O Awards for paid shows in Lagos

The 2013 Channel O Music Video Awards held on November 30, 2013 at Walter Sisulu Square, in Kliptown, Soweto. Three prominent nominees were however missing from the awards show.

Nigerian A-list acts D’banj, Banky W and Davido stayed back in Nigeria to perform at the Johnnie Walker event which went down on the same night at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

D’banj and Davido lost out at the awards. Banky W however clinched the ‘Most Gifted RnB Video‘ category. His award was picked up by Wizkid.

Banky and D’banj travelled out of the country a day after the show; The EME boss is currently in Johannesburg while D’banj is in London.

In his Next Chapter interview with Oprah Winfrey, R&B singer and songwriter Kenneth'Baby Face'Edmonds admits he and ex-wife Tracey were never really in love...

Baby Face tells Oprah,

"The reality is that there is a connection that wasn't really there. We loved one another but we weren't really deeply in love with each other. It absolutely was more the thought of it falling apart and me holding onto the image of what I thought we were.

"I don't feel just like we were supposed to be together forever. I'm okay with it because I believe she's okay."
