Nigeria beat Tahiti 6 goals to 1
African champions the Super Eagles of Nigeria as expected beat minnows Tahiti 6-1 in their Confederations Cup opening Group B match on Monday in Belo Horizonte, but they were given a run for their money for a while.
Nnamdi Oduamadi claimed a hat-trick as Nigeria shook off the jet lag to thrash minnows Tahiti 6-1 in their opening Confederations Cup game.
The African champions only arrived in Brazil 36 hours before the game after a row over bonus payments, but they could even afford some wasteful finishing as they leapfrogged world champions Spain to the top of Group B.
Nollywood Is Now Dead - Emeka Ike
He is one of the most popular actors in Nigeria. This is because he’s probably one actor who has kissed all the ladies who ever acted love roles in Nollywood films featuring him.
Emeka Ike is a role model to youths too. Ike has acted in a good number of classic movies like Leap of faith, Love doctor amongst others. In spite of the glamour and fame of being an actor, Ike said he sometimes regrets being a celebrity. In this encounter with The Entertainer, Ike explains why he regrets being a celebrity and bares his mind on other issues.
Excerpts:
You seem to be taking a break from acting. Why ?
It’s not only me you don’t see in movies these days. You don’t see other big names as well. You don’t see all of us the way you used to see us then. We aren’t that current and regular as before. This is because lately, a problem I have been lamenting over has sent everybody back to the drawing board. So, we are all making one movie in a year now. I just made my own movie recently. What they are doing now isn’t the Nollywood l know. Now, they are making a movie and cutting it into 10 parts.

Lionel Messi outdoes Maradona
Lionel Messi surpassed Diego Maradona in the all-time international goalscoring charts for Argentina with a hat-trick in a 4-0 thrashing of Guatemala.
The Barcelona superstar found the net in the 14th, 40th and 48th minutes to take his goals tally for Argentina to 35, one better than former captain and 1986 World Cup winner Maradona on 34.
Messi now stands level with Hernan Crespo on 35, and the 25-year-old maestro will fancy his chances of reeling in Gabriel Batistuta, who holds the record with 56 goals.
Messi opened his account against a hapless Guatemalan side with a low shot on 14 minutes before converting a penalty just before half-time for his second.
He completed his hat-trick just after half-time, coolly tucking away Ezequiel Lavezzi's low cross from the right. Messi's hat-trick came at the end of a troubled week which saw the four-time World Player of the Year and his father Jorge Horacio accused of defrauding the Spanish tax authorities of more than four million euros.
Messi and his father have strongly denied the allegations.

#BBATheChase Just In: Selly Disqualified???
Ruby House dancing Queen and now notorious rabble-rouser, Selly, was on the receiving end of a severe talking to by Big Brother this evening. In case you missed it, the Ghanaian stunned her fellow Housemates and viewers alike during the Channel O party on Saturday night, when she dumped a glass full of alcohol over Pokello's head with absolutely no provocation that would warrant such.
This evening, Big Brother called all the Rubies, who have talked about the incident in hushed tones since it happened, to the lounge to hand out his punishment. Deafening silence descended over the House as full, uncut footage of the incident was beamed into the House. The culprit, Selly, looked on in what looked to be sheer agony and embarrassment as she was exposed for all to see.

Popular Yoruba Actress Talks About Her Experience With S-éx And Próstitution In The Movie Industry
Biodun Okeowo is just a Yoruba actress and a film producer. She discusses s-éx in the movie world and why women are far more favored than men in a recently available interview.
Many men have come in my experience with money and have said I as you and I do want to sleép with you, and I have turned them down. I have evidences, I told the final person, who used it with me that when he has succeeded with other actresses in the movie industry, he should not test it with me because, even when I am hungry, I know what direction to go to place food on my table. I won't resort to pró-stitution or doing runs. I am not bragging but I have proved it severally.
If you head to any the main world, you will realise that women are far more favored than men. The truth is that a woman can leave her house without money and keep coming back with cash and it doesn't mean she's rubbished herself. The truth is that when you yourself have the favor of God, things will continue to work out well for you. The person, who would like to sleép with you but hasn't succeeded, will still continue to complete things for you, despite the fact that you've refused currently him. The opportunity I just described is not often available to men.

Eagles seek Warriors’ scalp in Namibia
Nigeria could take a huge step toward securing a place at the 2014 World Cup by beating Namibia away from home on Wednesday. Stephen Keshi’s side currently hold a two-point lead in CAF qualification group F and, should they win in Windhoek, may only need to avoid defeat against second-placed Malawi in September to reach Brazil. Nigeria have won just two of their four qualification games thus far, but also boast an unbeaten record during that period.
One of those victories came in their home meeting with Namibia, as a late goal from Ikechukwu Uche helped the hosts to three points back in June. Namibia have won, drawn and lost in their three qualifying fixtures since then, and sit four points short of top spot in Group F as a result. However, they could blow the group wide open with a victory against the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations champions, though they will need to add to the solitary goal they have scored thus far if they are to do so.
Although Nigeria are not exactly prolific, having scored four times across four fixtures, all of their goals have come from different scorers.
