What's wrong with Wizkid’s Music?

The long wait for Wizkid’s second album has led to suggestions that the 23-year old music star is starting to doubt his own ability.  Wizkid came into the Nigerian music industry when we didn’t have a wonder-kid, a boy-wonder or a whiz-kid. Fast forward 4 years after, the industry has been flooded with more talents that most cemetery cannot boast of. Wizkid remains what most budding Nigerian artiste want to be, he remains a force to be reckoned with but if care is not taken, it looks as if those days may be numbered.

When Wizkid released his first single “Holla At Your Boy” in 2010, it wasn’t a spectacular song, let’s not forget that the song was a sampled song by Se7en titled “Girls” we forgot that quickly as Wiz proved he’s a game changer when he released “Tease Me” , a freestyle turned single where he gave props to several industry big boys like Eldee, Banky W, Wande Coal e.t.c. Wizzy came through on that track, I was one of his biggest fan, then.

REVEALED: Why Wizkid Left EME To Float StarBoy Records

Facts have begun to emerge regarding the real story behind Wizkid and Banky's fallout. The reason is not unconnected with the rising sensational singer being made a cash cow for the EME label.
An Insider opened up that Wizzy (his nickname) is at war with Banky W and EME because he wants a contract review which Banky W has refused to grant him.

The source pointed out that since Ayodeji Balogun known as Wizkid signed with EME, he has been getting just 25% from whatever he gets paid to perform at an event with Banky W's Empire Mate Entertainment.
EME is owned by Banky W and Segun Demuren who get 50%; and Osagie, Wizzy's ex-manager who introduced him to Banky after big record labels like Mo-Hits and Storm records rejected him, also got 25%  from his hard earned money.

5 Nigerian Artiste Who Dumped Rap For Pop Music

According to Thenetng.com Not every pop star started out singing and composing smash hit singles. Some of the biggest pop stars in the game today started out as rappers. Let’s highlight the top pop stars who were once rappers… Let’s know if we missed out any names!
 1. eLDee- When the history of Nigerian Hip Hop is written, eLDee will undoubtedly have more than a few pages. Unknown to many of eLDee’s younger fans the former leader of the rap group Trybesmen not only laid the blueprint of the modern Nigerian rap sound but was the first to go the Alaba route. In his rap days, eLDee helped kick start the careers of some of today’s biggest rappers which include SashaBlaiseand 2 Shotz. He was no slouch on the mic either as he held his own with rhyme partners Freestyle andKaboom. But now, he has quit spitting bars; choosing instead to be a singer, with so many hits under his belt. Once in a while though he still lets the rapper in him come out.
