SPL: Celtic ease home, Ross County down Hibs

Scottish Premier League review
Celtic hit St Mirren for 5 in a thrashing at St Mirren Park, keeping Neil Lennon's men top of the SPL.
Celtic warmed up for a trip to the Camp Nou by thrashing St Mirren 5-0 in Paisley.

Goals from Gary Hooper and Efe Ambrose, then Victor Wanyama's double, gave an under-strength Hoops side an unassailable interval lead against sorry-looking Saints.

Tony Watt scored with four minutes remaining to seal a commanding victory, which manager Neil Lennon would have wanted ahead of their Champions League Group G clash with Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Britney Spears -- Buys $8.5 MILLION Mansion with Jason Trawick

Britney Spears
Buys $8.5 MILLION Mansion
with Jason Trawick

Britney Spears has left Calabasas ... and moved into a brand new $8.5 MILLION mansion even further away from all of the Hollywood madness.

The 8,456 square foot home is located inside a swanky private community in Thousand Oaks, CA -- about 16 miles from Brit's old mansion in Calabasas.

Here are the stats -- 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, wine cellar, home theater and massive infinity pool.

We're told Britney made the move because she's starting a new life with fiance Jason Trawick ... and wants to be in a new home in a secure location.

The move puts Britney even further away from the hub of Hollywood -- but we've learned Brit will stay in a super-fancy L.A. hotel when "X Factor" comes to Los Angeles in a few weeks.

Sam Lutfi: Britney Spears OD'd on Amphetamines the Night She Was Committed on a 5150

Sam Lutfi
Britney OD'd on Amphetamines
The Night She Was 5150'd
Britney Spears
took a huge amount of amphetamines the night she was strapped to a stretcher and placed on a 5150 hold -- so claims Sam Lutfi's lawyer in the opening statements of his defamation case.

Lutfi's lawyer, Joseph Schleimer, told the jury, on January 28, 2008, Britney had an amphetamine script filled.  Schleimer says she took 6 to 8 pills early in the day, and several more later and went off the rails.

Lutfi's lawyer also said he tried to get Britney to meet with a psychiatrist 2 days before she was 5150'd, but Brit refused.

And there's this ... during Britney's disastrous appearance on the MTV Awards in 2007, Lutfi felt she was such a mess she shouldn't do it, because she was overweight and didn't rehearse, but Britney wouldn't hear it.

Acquittal of Howard K. Stern In Anna Nicole Smith Case OVERTURNED

Anna Nicole Smith Case
Howard K. Stern Acquittal
OVERTURNED
Howard K. Stern
has just lost BIG in the never-ending Anna Nicole Smith case, because a court has just ruled the 2 convictions that the trial judge threw out can be reinstated.

Stern was charged with 11 felonies -- most involving conspiracy to fuel Anna Nicole with drugs.  At the end of the trial, the jury convicted Stern of 2 felony conspiracy counts but the judge threw both convictions out on grounds there was insufficient evidence to nail Stern.

A California appeals court just ruled the trial judge was wrong, and sent the case back where the trial judge could now sentence Stern to prison for the 2 felonies.

It's not certain what the trial judge will now do, because there are 4 options:

1.  The judge could sentence Stern to years in prison
2.  The judge could go as leniently as probation on the felonies
3.  The judge could reduce the felonies to misdemeanors
4.  The judge could theoretically dismiss the whole case on other legal grounds

The appellate court also reversed the trial court's dismissal of the conspiracy convictions of Khristine Eroshevich

Godwin Okpara Serially Raped Me

Godwin Okpara Serially Raped Me
Why did you decide to write this book?
For a long time, I refused to talk about my story. I refused all articles, interviews. One day, I told myself that if I refused testifying, other girls will continue to experience modern slavery. There will be other unhappy children, other “Tinas”. This is what gave me the courage.
Why did you title the book, My Life Has A Price?
It was proposed by Virginia Fuertes, the editor with whom I worked. I immediately found that corresponded to my story. My life has a price since Godwin Okpara gave money to my parents

Early goals from defenders Jonny Evans and Patrice Evra plus a stunning late strike from England midfielder Tom Cleverley were enough to secure a deserved victory for Ferguson’s side on Sunday.

Model, 21, Cuts Off 65 Year Old Lover’s Testicles, Wears Them As a Bracelet

Model, 21, Cuts Off 65 Year Old Lover’s Testicles, Wears Them As a Bracelet

Portuguese male model Renato Seabra (21) castrated and killed Carlos Castro, a 65-year-old Portuguese society journalist. He used his lover’s testicles as a talisman.

Renato Seabra, a Portuguese male model, said he was so tortured by his May-December romance with Carlos Castro that he beat him to death, castrated him with a corkscrew, then wore the dead man’s manhood on his arms to harness what he believed was its healing powers.

“He put one on each wrist,” lawyer Rubin Sinins said at Friday’s opening of the murder trial. “He did this for his protection. He wandered the streets of Manhattan, touching people, because he had the power to cure people from AIDS, because he had the power to cure them.”

Seabra, 21, killed his 65-year-old lover — a noted Portuguese society journalist and gay activist — in a sudden psychotic onset, said the lawyer.

“He wanted to explain why he killed Mr. Castro because he thought what he had done was right.”
Sinins asked the jury to return a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity, with the possibility of being committed to a psychiatric facilit.

Manhattan prosecutors countered that the young man was just a temperamental gold digger. Castro was supposed be Seabra’s lucky ticket, flying him to the Big Apple in Jan. 2011 with the promise of getting him work through a Manhattan modeling agency, prosecutors said.

“He wanted to pursue a career in modeling,” said Assistant District Attorney Maxine Rosenthal. “He wanted to be famous and make money. He also wanted nice things — clothes, electronics, gifts for his family. He wanted to eat in nice restaurants. When Carlos Castro showed up in Renato Seabra’s life, he got on board.”

But soon, Castro grew weary of opening up his wallet for the young beauty, especially after he caught him stepping out with a group of women.

Seabra tried to wheedle his way back into his benefactor’s favour, but Castro booked his young lover a flight to leave early — clearly indicating the fling was over, Rosenthal said in opening statements.

The two had a terrible fight on the afternoon of Jan. 7 over the break-up. Seabra beat the older man over the head with a computer monitor and then repeatedly stomped him until he was dead. “This anger came from the end of a relationship with Carlos Castro,” Rosenthal said. “He knew he was beating, stomping and mutilating Carlos Castro. And he knew it was wrong.”

Ini Edo Allegedly Threatens Hubby Philip Ehiagwina

Ini Edo Allegedly Threatens Hubby Philip Ehiagwina

If what gossip mongers are revealing to Nigeriafilms is anything to go by, then all may not be too well in the marriage of reportedly pregnant Nollywood actress, Ini Edo and her husband of four years, Philip Ehiagwina.

What an olofofo, who claimed to be close to Ini Edo divulged to Nigeriafilms seems very disturbing. It has always been believed that US-based Philip is allegedly being on the bills of Ini Edo. Some gossip merchants swore that he (Philip) depends on the sultry actress to survive.

The latest that we are hearing about the couple, who attended a fashion show in the US together recently, is that there is an alleged crack in their four years old marriage.

According to a bird in the know, Philip allegedly called the attention of his wife that his people (family members) are complaining about news they hear about her. As the tale bearer told us, Ini reportedly replied her handsome hubby to leave her alone and let her be.

You think she stopped there? The amebor said Ini Edo then reportedly told Philip to walk out of the marriage if he is tired of her and the news his people are hearing about her. We also learnt from another tale bearer that Philip reportedly called some of Ini's friends to inform them of what his wife told him. The olofofo then said that their marriage is just like a time bomb now waiting to explode.

Though there were other things we were told about the marriage, but those are matters of another day. We hope this gist is not true because we do not subscribe to marriage break-up in Nollywood. We have had enough marriage break-ups in the motion pictures industry in Nigeria.

Screen diva, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, is toying with the idea of having the fifth child. The actress wondered aloud among friends recently if it won’t be a good idea making another baby, more so when her last child left home for a boarding school a few weeks back.
Omo Sexy further confirmed this via her official Twitter handle, @Realomosexy: “So my last baby has just left today to boarding school! OMG! What can I and Captain Ekeinde do now? Make another baby for the road?”
However, close friends of the actress have defended her saying she’s just contemplating and not putting it into any form of action. It’s well known that Omotola remains one of Nigeria’s most sexy entertainers even after giving birth to four kids.
